I am wondering what is the best replacement rattling antlers. We have knight & hale plastic rattles and they sound like plastic. they don't attract bucks, they repel them. HAHA Help Please.

Scents

I am having a crazy issue this year while bow hunting in South Eastern MO. It seems no matter what I do this year, I keep getting winded by deer. I have tried everything. I was all of my clothes in scent away, bag them up immediately in a scent bag , store them in tote with cedar wood chips (there are cedars near my stand), tried different scent blockers, etc. I have had all but like 3 deer this year wind me and blow. I tried to put my climber stand on another area of the property to play the wind and still get winded. Its only happening in the 50 yard range, but thats the problem. I am a good bow shot up to 40 yards, but 50+ makes me nervous. This seems to be the first year ive had this issue on this property. Any suggestions for me?

Around my neck of the woods in WI the bucks are starting to get really agressive.I was wondering what kind of sequences you guys do when your rattling. whether you grunt or do a snort wheeze or grunt before hand or after rattling. Any insight or tips?

Stand Hunting

I got a ladder tree-stand for my birthday. After setting it up and securing it to the tree, of course in the rain, I noticed during the initial climb that the ladder rungs don't have any grip to them and with muddy and wet boots I almost broke my neck. Any suggestions or products they make to put on the ladder for traction?

Trophy Bucks

JM, for some reason I couldnt reply on my last question. Oh well. The paper is about the process of creating the "ultimate huge buck" and the bad things what go on with these animals. Have any luck finding it? And anyone else that might have some info please jump in and feel free to help me out. Thanks guys

Some POS stole my bow/release this afternoon(and my cousins bag which only had some of his clothes in it - what kind of person steals a kids clothes?), so now I need to buy a new bow. I think I am just going to buy the same bow/set up, but I am not in a hurry so I want to search around first. Are there any bows/accessories you all would suggest taking a look at? I think I may give mechanical broadheads a try, so are there any you would suggest? Thanks.

Rifle season is a month away in my state, so just a hypothetical question for everyone. There is a mature doe standing broadside at 25 yards, and a big buck standing broadside 150 yards away. Calling the buck in closer is not an option. It's the last day of the season and you do not have any venison in the freezer, which one do you shoot at?
