I read that PETA is planning on purchasing drones to “Monitor those out in the woods with death on their minds.” They claim to want to watch bear hunters in particular. You are hunting and a low flying PETA drone buzzes your stand….What do you do?

Nobody has anymore questions? Heres one; when has been the latest time you have ever found a shed. ive been told that mice can chew them up but another person told me he has found a shed that was years old. I have a hard time believing that sheds will decompose (mice/bacteria) within a few months. What have you guys seen?

Elk

My close friend and hunting buddy has found the love of hunting mule deer and elk in Colorado. He can only afford to own one hunting rifle for both species and has a total budget of $800-$1100 (rifle and scope). He is leaning towards a .270 or 30.06, but has an open mind for other calibers. He does not like heavy recoil (who does) has he wants some range time between seasons. He is looking for suggestions for rifle and caliber. Most shots are between 150-300 yards. I've suggested the following: Browning XBolt .270 w/Leupold 3x9x40 VXII Marlin XL7 25-06/.270/30.06 and spend more on optics (but he prefers a detachable magazine) Your input is highly appreciated, as what counts most is feedback from actual users.

Mountain Goat

Goat Man identified. The Goat Man is a hunter. He was preparing for an archery hunt of mountain goats next year and was testing a homemade goat suit. The guy is from Southern California. I don't think I would want to be wandering around in a goat suit during goat hunting season. Though it might be a good way to meet the Creator. Maybe somebody should tell this guy there is a good reason why they don't make goat, bear, or deer suits to hunt in.

I'm looking for a camera to film my own hunts. I want it for less than $400 and it needs to be able to film deer shot with a rifle up to 200 yards away and needs to have clear or HD video and good quality zoom without making noise when focusing in and out. anyone got any suggestions? thanks alot
