Predator techniques

I am new to coyote hunting and all I have for this year is a rabbit in distress call. I have acsess to hunt both an open feild about 25 acres, and wooded areas, would i have better chances of getting a coyote in the open field or in the wooded area, if so what kind of places in the woods should I hunt?

Varmint techniques

I just found that I have a skunk or skunks living under my back shed. The inside of my shed now smells like the insides of the residents under it. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of them? Things that I can think of may not be appropriate, since my neighbors have pet cats that they seem to feel the need to share with the neighborhood. I would appreciate any ideas.

About how big are Coyote prints. I know I have one in my Neighbor hood because I got one on my Trail Camera but I would like to find its den, and not follow some large house cat to my neighbors house. Thank you, Seth

I’m looking at getting an AR for coyote hunting (although I’ve heard they’re hard to come by nowadays). What’s a good setup (gun, scope, caliber, etc.)? What does everyone on here use for coyotes? What are some good brands and models to look at for the gun and scope? I would like to keep it under $1500 for the gun and around $300 for the scope. I’ve done some research online and I think $1500 seems pretty realistic, although I may be wrong. Thanks in advance for your input!

Coyote

Ruger American series just came out with a model in 22-250. I am a huge fan of Savage rifles. It looks like for around the same price, I would get alot more for my money with the Ruger American than a Savage Axis for a econimical rifle. Does anyone have any info or experience on the Ruger Americans to sell me which one I really should buy?
