I have recently seen a group of 3 deer turn into 6 dear. One deer is larger than the others and I thought it was a buck, and I think the others are a doe and a fawn. After the rut is over and the antlers are gone do the buck's move in with the heard? Is it likely that I could find his sheds or do you thin it is a large doe? Thank you, Seth

Read a poem or short story, don't remember which, about 10 years ago, and am trying to find it. It compared hunting\conservation with the "humanity" of letting nature deal with deer over population. The story was aimed at those who felt hunting was bad and that it is best to let nature take it's course. The author vividly describes the brutality of nature - winter, starvation, predation, etc., as compared to legally harvesting deer with a single, comparatively, painless bullet. An absolutely amazing story. i would really like to find this again. Any help?

I was trying to relate sunday bans on hunting,to the cats.TRUE, the fat cat is the better hunter.HE HAS NO NEED TO BE IN A HURRY,LESS CHANCE TO MAKE MISTAKES,AND IS SELECTIVE IN HIS ATTEMPTS. THE working man with only saturday to hunt is the skinny cat,Sunday HUNTING WOULD ALLOW MORE CHANCES TO WAIT ON BETTER BUCKS,LESS SPIKES ,FORKS TAKEN. THE CHANCES FOR AN ERRANT OR HURRIED SHOT MAKES SUNDAY HUNTING BANS LESS SAFE FOR OTHERS. WHAT DO YOU THINK?

I have seen a number of should have been 6 or 8 pointers this year with one side broken off at the base of the skull. I am wondering if this will have any effect on how that side will look/grow next year?
