Q:
Are snapping turtles edible? Is any turtle flesh edible?
If so what is it... I am looking for fresh water turtles. Thanks,
Seth

Snapper soup with a little sherry is my favorite soup. My youngest Brother used to catch snapping turtles. He stuck a long pole inside the mud, attached a large weakfish hook onto a steel leader with a chuck of fish on the hook. Next day the snapper floating there still alive, and meaner then a hornet.
Turtle soup is delicious. I have heard from trappers the turtle should be kept in fresh water until it poops and then butcher it. Makes it better tasting.
Snapping turtles are definitely edible. A lot of preparation goes into making them palatable though(multiple days).
Yup, they're edible. Whether they're EAT-able is another matter though.
Snapping turtles are edible as are most turtles. It's a lot of work for not much meat in my opinion. In my state most turtles are protected except the snapper so be sure to check your states regulations.
