I would consider a Shimano Curado or a Bass pro Carbonlite
Another option is Cabela's Fish Eagle rods. For $79 you get an excellent one piece rod. I've them in casting and spinning models.

I'm guessing that you meant to type casting rod? Sorry if I'm wrong.
-If you are on a budget(Under $50) the Berkley Lightning Rods are a good choice. If you do not mind spending a bit more than pick up a St. Croix Mojo (About $100).
