i am taking my freind on his first bass fishing trip and i have a ton of good lures in my tackle boxes but i want to be sure he catches a big Washington bass for his first bass. what should he use? i need help.

I would definitely go with live bait. Shiner, crayfish or crawler. If you use crawlers, keep them in COLD COLD COLD distilled water for a few days before you head out. The result will be fatter, sassier crawlers. Fish 'em on the bottom.

Use the Yamamoto 2" twin tail grub in dark motor oil w/ black flacking. I live on Long lake (or lake Spokane)and we slay with these soft baits (but... shhhh... don't tell anyone).
