Q:
I love to fish for pike and would someday like to catch a muskie and i was just fishing for pike and didn't catch anything or even get a bite. Then a thought popped into my head, WHY NOT USE A BABY DUCK LURE! I was wondering if maybe anybody knew if these would work, where to find them, or how to make them. I think this is a good idea.

Web7,
When I was about 12, (1962) I saw a musky snatch a baby duck that was paddleing around in front of our dock. "TA-DA" I thought. Later that week, on our weekly trek to Peterbourough, Ont. for supplies, I bought a toy "rubber ducky". I rigged a 2 ft. long wire leader to it and hung 2 large trebble hooks where the feet would dangle down. I also hung a chunk of chicken thigh meat on it, Attached everything to a coupple hunderd feeet of 50 lb test and secured it to our dock, rowed out in my dory and set it adrift. The next morning, there was about 100 ft of line left and the rest of the rig was GONE!!! This started the family legend of the "Monster Musky of Jack's Lake".

you can probably tie it as a fly. i don't know if you could cast it with out a fly rod but im guessing you could because it would be kinda big.
