Cut bait, shrimp, plastic minnows, super spooks and super spooks jr's. Snook are a little more wary of cut/dead bait than the other 2 u mentioned and prefer live or artificial baits. I have so much fun catching all types of fish using the super spooks and supper spook jr's, the strikes are soo explosive and you see all the action. I use super spooks in bone, speckled trout, or mulet colors, the same could be said for other plastic artificials. on the spooks u thro them as far as you can into open water and twitch the rod, i twitch in one direction 2-3 inches at a time, say from 2 oclock (straight ahead being 12)to 10 then reel back to 2, doing it all over again. This is called walking the dog and drives fish to strike and to strike hard. plastic worms can be thrown and retrieved on bottom or at any depth on a 1/4 jig head and catches most any fish swimming. lastly the bottom rig, a hook and a shrimp/cut bait, a small weight thrown out and wait for the line to get tight then set the hook. Invest in a cast net and you cna catch all the live bait you'll ever need, mullet being the primary. godd luck and I hope I helped more than I confused.
