Outdoor Life, I see where Pineywoods asked this same question back on Oct 24th and did not get an answer. why are there no points for participating in the answers section of this forum? I see a section for points under Questions in our personal profiles but I have never received any points under that heading. Is there something I don't know or if there a problem at your end? I would bet there are more than a few participates awaiting your response.

I have the same question. Someone "up there" should post the rules and explain the points and stars system for us.
Well, that makes three of us at least. Last time this question was asked was Oct 24th then it got buried and never answered. I think some persistence is in order timberdoodle.
I think you get points for posting both questions and answers. Go to your profile & click on the link to info about the point system & it explains it, but doesn't say how many points you get for what. I suggest you just have fun on the website & the points & stars will add up. I noticed that my profile shows a total of zero for my answers, but if I click on the link all my answers come up. That seems wierd but I won't lose any sleep over it.
Looks like it's a technical problem. I'll try to get to the bottom of it. Thanks.
Thank you Mr. Editor. In the mean time I will try not to become one of those school kids who cared about having a row of stars after their names. I didn't 'lose any sleep over it' back in those days and just may have matured a little in the 50 years that followed.....still, those stars are a nice golden color!!
At the risk of sounding materialistic, I would like to see some goodies offered to go with the stars, as they do on another "fish-catchin', coon-chasin'" magazine website, which shall remain nameless.
