hi im kind of new at bowhunting and i heard that if you look through the space on the bottom of your peep sight itll double your distance you set your sight pin at is this true

some sight apertures are bigger than others so this suggestion won't apply as a good sight selection . most bowhunters use sight pins set at known increments for best target accuracy .
I have my pins set at yardages that I'm comfortable with. If I need to double the distance I'm not going to take that shot. But I have never heard of that before.
Usually the pins are adjustable so you are able to set the pins at the distances you would typically be shooting.
