Q:
I live in Maine and I was wondering what types of calls and calling techniques seem to work best for coyotes? I've also been wondering what kind of bait seems to work best? I've got meat scraps from the butcher right now.

I have never hunted in Maine but here we use a cottontail disstress call, it always brings in a couple. As far as bait goes just about anything that is dead or smells dead will work.
in my humble opinion anything rimos
i hunt coyotes north of ya in new brunswick, east coast coyotes are some of the biggest in north america. the rabbit distress works great, when their hungry. when their not hungry the Quaker Boy "howler pack" seals the deal. its 3 individual calls, there is the alpha male challenge call, the female invitation call and the pup in distress call.
you can buy the kit through cabalas or lebaron for under $20
