I would check with your state DNR
License yes, tag no!
Did you hear about the squirrel hunting contest last year? The fella who won it didn't use a rifle, he "Uglied them to death"! Since this was a team competition he was asked were was his wife? She stayed home this time; she tore them up to much!
Your hunting license covers it on private land. You also need a WMA permit if you're hunting in a Wildlife Management Area. You can get all the Florida regs at www.myfwc.com.
