I need to know if I can keep a squirrel about two days without it being gutted or is it gone.

How cold has it been where you are at? Still, with what little meat you would get from a squirrel I wouldn't chance eating it. Like Piney said "Unless I were starving, It'd be gone."

It has bean cold all day and it was trapped.

Maybe...It depends on the temperature/where the shot was...to be honest though with an animal the size of a squirrel I would rather be safe than sick and toss it out or cook it and just give it to the dog.
