I have actually been looking into climbing stands a bit lately and here's what I know about the Gorilla Wolverine. 1) Super Affordable, I believe it is under $100 anywhere you can find it. 2) Testers said it was remarkably comfortable compared to their original expectations. 3) Only real downside was recommended max weight compared to other stands in the same category. Only recommended to have 250 lbs perched on it and that's not a lot when you're in full gear with some extra baggage. So bottom line, if you fall inside the weight category, and are trying to find a real affordable climbing stand, the Wolverine will probably surprise you. I'm thinking it might be my choice for my first climbing stand.

Thanks SD_Whitetail_Hntr! I too have been thinking of trying a climber. I thought I had it narrowed down to a Summit, but they're pretty spendy. I didn't see the Wolverine on the Gorilla web site. Where did you guys hear of it?

I had seen a little section on climbing stand reviews when I was browsing through some hunting websites when I first saw it mentioned. It was under an "affordable" section. So then I went and tried to research it a bit and found a couple reviews, one that was very detailed. I haven't looked into it but I believe you can find this stand at some Walmart stores believe it or not.
