Does anyone remember an article written several years ago in outdoor life about an old deer hunter who was near the end of his hunting days. He had been after a certain large buck for years. When he finally got his chance, he let the buck go. Please help me find this article.

do you now more as to how long ago it was a year or anything my dad saves alot of that stuff he still has mags from 1988 not sure if he has that one or not.
the story you are talking about i think is a story called boones buck it was actually written in a nother whitail mag back in the nintys is that the one its about a trapper and a farmer
