Q:
I have used mock scrapes and I never see a sign of bucks at them. Is it just the bucks in my area or are mock scrapes just a waste of time?

Mock scrapes do sometimes work, but are not always the best bet. If you want to squeeze out some results, put down some buck tarsal gland scent on the scrape and maybe some doe urine in with it. Big bucks are very aggressive towards opposition, especially when there is a doe involved.
To add to matt i have heard of guys stopping at scrapes ever day and peeing on them after they turn up some durt they say that the deer will come buy more often they have shot many deer this way.
