JM, never eaten the heart but Id be interested in trying it. How do you prepare it?
Good luck on getting a deer to you all so that you can enjoy your favorite parts =p
You all are making me hungry.
The tenderloin fried lightly in butter with a little salt and pepper. These are eaten within 24 hours of harvesting the deer.
inside loins with biscuits and gravy the morning after.
Whoops...I meant to say endangered not extinct. They are ENDANGERED not extinct.
Kody it's a "Big-eared fox"...believe it or not that is a wild animal...they are extinct though.
Back strap having some tonight!
The Back strap or the hams
The part I eat first is the hamburger. I have been known to take a bite of the inner filet, raw, especially if it's a neck shot young deer. I keep a salt shaker in the cleaning shed.
Wait a minute, JM1993! What manner of dog (?) is that in your caption??? Have you doctored those ears with a photosmart program? Don't be offended, he is cuter than heck as are most 'designer' dogs. I just wonder what I am looking at and it is of more interest to me than the question you have presented. What is he and what do you name a little guy with such..distinctive features?
Liver and heart! Yum Yum!! Try Smoking the liver its fantastic
Back strap, cant wait for it while I,m cutting one up.
