Q:
I have a lil under 600 acres that I hunt exclusivly. And in my opinion my best stand is one that is bordering an oak thicket where I know deer are coming mornings and evenings. There is plenty of cover and no pressure at all. There is also access to a stock tank. I have heard that big mature bucks look for spots where they can eat drink and bed down with as little traveling as possible. Is there any truth to this or should I look for another stand set up? Thanks in advance

To answer your question if mature bucks move as little as possible: i find this to be more true based on the amount of pressure on the buck. In you situation this is not a factor so your monster is prob moving more than you think, but stick with your stand sounds like a perfect set-up. Good luck!
