I found a small rack and skull wedged about 6 feet up in the fork of a pine tree. Don't know how long it had been there or how it got there but I have never seen anything like it before or sense then.
actually it wasn't so much the place, i found a eight point at the edge of cut corn field, late one evening it was still warm and limp not far from where i had sat in my stand, the perplexing thing is i could not find any wounds or reason this deer should have died .
I found a dead 5pt in an old retention pond in my woods. Its not really that weird because he was shot by somebody else then ran to the water to submerge himself. It's not really that weird but its my weirdest.
My hunting buddy was sittin in his stand and it overlooks a pond. A basket rack 8 trots up and jumps in the water. He shoots the buck and we take it home to process it. We get to the front shoulders and it smells like deviled eggs, its rotten, but he shot it in the pond and it dropped completely under water.
