There are lots of places to fish pike in montana, but your best bet would be in the north western half. I have fished fort Peck and it is ok but nor great they catch most of them in the spring on flathed chub and smelt, almost any type of bait fish will do, attached to a treble hook, and steel leader. I am from the northwest area and personaly, look to the north end of flathead lake in the spring, and many other lakes like whitfish, still water. Many times I will also use a perch colord Rapala,I also use the large thomas cyclones and Dare devils in the perch pattern. Good luck!!!
