Back in 1990 Chronic Wasting Disease was first confirmed in free-ranging whitetails, setting off mild hysteria in the hunting community.
Would this Mad Cow-type disease, which attacks the nervous system of infected deer and elk and eventually kills them, wipe out herds? Would it restrict our hunting, or even end it in places?
