Welcome to Outdoor Life
Billed as the “closest you can get to dad's bow,” the Young Gun has a cast, then machined aluminum riser, compression-molded limbs, pivoting cast aluminum limb cups, dual-arc string suppressors, and axel-mounted vibration dampeners.
The eccentrics or cam system is a rotating modular system with multiple built-in draw length adjustments that require no bow press. Fourteen draw length increments span 14 to 27-inches--certainly enough to accommodate even the quickest growing archer.
At 29.5-inches axle-to-axle and with a 6-inch brace height, this bow should perform like its larger counterparts. Peak draw weights vary from 40-50 pounds with speeds clocked up to 266 fps (27-inch draw length at 50lbs. with a 250-grain arrow).
A TechTwist string, multi-panel molded grip, pivoting limb pockets, 3.2-pound mass weight and RealTree APG camouflage film-dipped coating all add to this bow’s overall appeal. ($329.99; beararcheryproducts.com; 800-694-9494)
