Hoyt Trykon Sport

Rate Gear0%0%

Hoyt made a big splash in the archery industry several years ago with the introduction of the Trykon compound. For 2009, Hoyt has taken the upscale Trykon and shrunk it down, morphing it into the new Trykon Sport.

At 30-inches axle-to-axle, this is a large bow; however, at a mass weight of 3.2-pounds, it is well-suited for young archers. The 6.5-inch brace height will keep arrows accurately on track with an estimated speed of 290 fps.

Like it’s big brother, the Sport utilizes the Cam & ½ power system that supply 9-inches of draw length adjustment. Hoyt’s trademark TEC riser and parallel split limbs adds to the distinctly “grown-up” look of this bow.

Draw weights of 20/30, 30/40 and 40/50-pounds are available with the draw lengths being adjustable in ½-inch increments from 23 to 28.5 inches. ($399; hoytusa.com; 801-363-2990)
