Consider Rockport/Fulton Tx for next years list. Located on the Live Oak Peninsular it's famous for its Oak trees, local restruants, saltwater fishing and hunting. With easy access to the bays and Gulf of Mexico it's the place to be.

I am sure all of the towns listed are good for one type of Sportsman or another...but I am amazed that no West Virginia towns made the list. Come on...really? Great Whitetail hunting, great trout fishing (native trout, fly fishing), duck hunting on the Ohio River, great mountain views, everything from squirrels to black bears. Moderate climate with just enough hot and cold weather. I will refrain from commenting on other areas listed as I am sure they are fine...but not one WV town...base out of Buckhannon or Elkins, WV and you will find good jobs, great outdoor adventures...did I forget to mention the grouse and woodcock...just for a challenge. Take another look ODL. Like your magazine even though you missed on this one.

Great list of towns, I have visited several.

Check out Reedsville, PA. We have Kish Creek and Honey Creek running directly through our town. Kish is stocked with awesome rainbows 2-3 times a year and Honey Creek is a native stream.

We are close to Poe Paddy State Park with Penns Creek running through it. Poe Valley State Park is another close destination with a beautiful 50 acre trout lake.

Opportunities are endless with State College 30 miles away.

Check out this awesome town for next year!
