Brownells’ Pro Series muffs provide a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) of 26 decibels, with less than a 1.5-millisecond "attack time" to reduce the sound of loud noises to a safe level of 70 dB. Sounds below 70 dB pass through without being muffled.
These muffs let you hear conversations and range commands while blocking out gunfire sounds.
Compact and lightweight, the muffs feature low-profile polymer earcups that angle in sharply to ensure plenty of clearance when shouldering long guns. Multi-directional microphones provide 360 degrees of hearing, so there are no dead spots. Each earcup has an independent volume control and replaceable pro-leather ear seals for comfort and a quality sound seal. The cups fold neatly into the padded, adjustable headband for easy storage.
The common "N" size alkaline batteries, which are included, provide 200 hours minimum battery life. Headset automatically shuts off to preserve battery life, too.

Sounds great, but I don't know about the "not breaking the bank" part - $140.00! I'm sure they are nice, but for that price, I will just keep using my old ear muffs.
