The heart of winter is usually the toughest time of year for mammals in the North. Any animal that doesn't hibernate or migrate needs to endure the snow and cold to gobble up enough calories to keep warm and stay alive.

This clip gives us a little glimpse into that effort. The video is from a trail camera stationed over a bait site in Illinois. It was uploaded a year ago by Youtube user davencrystal13.

Cool video. I am surprised that one bobcat was able to keep two yotes at bay.
