The latest viral video could easily be mistaken for a scene from a bad horror movie. Or an episode of Man vs. Food gone terribly wrong.
The video, which has garnered more than 70,000 hits in just two days, shows a giant anaconda regurgitating a heifer cow into a Brazilian jungle stream. It is unclear why the snake upchucked the cow but anacondas are known to rid themselves of a meal when frightened or disturbed. This is a defense – or offense – mechanism that aids the snake in mobility.
I know I’d be a little sluggish after swallowing a cow.
The bovine vomiting takes only 90 seconds. It is unknown how long it took the snake to kill or swallow the cow or the size of either animal.
Some have commented that the animal being yaked isn’t a cow but rather a capybara. Even if it is a capybara though, it’s still a huge snake as these Brazilian rats can reach weights of 200 pounds or more.
What do you think it is: cow or capy?

My money is on a goat. The tail tells the tale for me.
Looks like a cow to me. Hooves are clearly visible between 0:16 and 0:21, and the size/shape of the leg through most of the video appears to be a cow.
That's a big, big snake.
It's amazing the size of the animal that those snakes are capable of swallowing, let alone puke back up.
I think it is a capybara being regurgitated.
I don't care what it is, I'm trying to get that image out of my head before the next time I meet a snake!
