Video: Calf Elk Gets Caught in Trampoline - 2

Greg Chase and his family got quite the surprise when an elk took to their backyard trampoline in Evergreen, Colo. Mr. Chase posted a video to YouTube on November 4 of what he and family witnessed. In his description he states that he had just sat down for some morning coffee when he noticed a young elk enter his trampoline. Once on the instrument of bounce, the animal had a difficult time getting off.

In addition to describing the elk dance party, Mr. Chase apologizes for his wife’s on-air question of whether or not they should shoot the animal.  Mr. Chase explains that his wife didn’t want to see the elk suffer as she had recently watched a fox strangle itself to death once trapped in a neighbor’s soccer goal.

A lot of strange animal activity going on up there in the Chase’s neighborhood.

The elk managed to escape his bouncy jail only minutes after jumping on it.
