All box traps i've seen have small throats or entries whichever you choose to call them.An will not allow a very large fish to enter.I have run a lot of wooden slat traps that we caught, "fiddlers" or small catfish in so named fiddler trap.Have some small hoopnets with 1.5" mesh that will wear them out
But the alligators love to crunch them up got to keep a good eye on them.But no i have never had to Wrestle any of them.

ok cool i saw a guy on tv the other day do it so i kinda interested in it.
