growing up in southeastern oklahoma, i have came to enjoy catching any fish i can, while fishing with my brother we were using catalpa worms for bait just trying to catch anything that would bite, when we ran out of bait the fish were still biting good & we still had a few hours left, we started wadding up blades of grass, air leaf clover buds & bitter weed blooms on our hooks, strangely enough we were catching somthing every cast, has anyone ever done this before

I haven't used grass, but I have used some cooked ham before. Just like you said I still caught something.
