if you have trouble keeping bait then i have a solution for your problems. if you have an old washing machine drum laying around make a lid out of sheet metal that you can take off easily and attach a rope to it and throw it into a creek, lake or pond and it makes a great storage cage for your minnows, chubs or whatever you like to use.
