Saltwater better than freshwater fish?

. Uploaded on March 15, 2009

I've eaten a bunch of different fish species in my life and, as a general statement, think that saltwater species just taste much better than fresh--and I'll take mahi over most every salt species. What's your favorite?

Polly-wog filet's? Dude----you're nuttier than I ever imagined lol......Honestly....grew up eating largemouth bass, if you can believe it (I'm sure I'd be lynched doing so nowadays). What we'd used to do is head, gut and scale 'em, then we'd fill their body cavities with a tablespoon of butter, green onion, a few slices of lemon and, if you can believe it, barbecue sauce. We'd wrap them in aluminum foil and toss them on the grill over a real fire--no gas-flamed, modern-day bbq. The tasted absolutely awesome. We'd eat off one side of the fish, yank out the backbone and then eat the other side. Great stuff and the stuff of childhood memories.

THAT being said? I've become a saltwater fish fanatic. Can't explain it at all, but grouper, snapper, tuna, dolphin, swordfish, redfish, speckled trout and flounder all get my nod over most freshwater fish. Don't get me wrong, tho. I also LOVE crappies, perch and bluegills.

Of course, wild turkey is my overall favorite!!!

This question is like deciding between steak & lobster. I choose both. OK, I'll give the edge to salt. Hogfish is my favorite--if you spearfish around coral reefs, you know what I mean.
