Camo coat

. Uploaded on December 18, 2008

I'm looking for a lightweight, although warm (think early to mid season), camo coat. Anyone have a favorite? It's for deer hunting, so quiet is of utmost importance, wind/water proof and/or repellent.

I usually go with Rivers West stuff. May be a little heavier for what you need, but it will last forever.

sitka gear ain't cheap, but it'll last forever and is top-notch.

Rivers West is great, great stuff, "Paul." (Might be a little spendy for me, though).....I'll just go through Cabela's or Bass Pro or something.

You have several options here...you have the Rocky S2V Apparel. This is a sculptured fleece with 4 way stretch and scent control. Also there is Mossy Oak apparel Full Draw Jacket and pants. Both are excellent choices that keep you warm, are very quiet and windproof.

I just returned from the SHOT show in Orlando, and while there isn't a ton of apparel on the horizon for 2009, I was impressed with a new layering system Russell Outdoors (Mossy Oak) is coming out with, and Under Armor has a bunch of new outerwear in various weights coming down the pipe.

Should have mentioned Browning, too...

Here is something a bit out of the ordinary when it comes to camo. Seems like a really good idea. I think it's worth checking into.
