Hey im looking for a good relativly cheap all around rifle im a college student si it need to be affordable. i have looked at the marlin xl7 and the mossberg 100 atr both in 308 if any one has any ideas i would greatly appreciate it

savage model 11fcxp3 great gun really cheap and it comes with a scope so your ready to shoot imeediently. i own one and it shoots like a hot damn.
Don't be afraid to go with a used firearm, and look into gun shows. Be flexible with the caliber if all you want to do is shoot or hunt a specific type of game. I got a remington 700, brand new at a gun show for $400. But i consistently see good rifles with open sites for around 200-500. Also my brother jsut bought a 30-30 marlin lever gun from dick's sporting goods for about $375 and it came scoped and bore sighted.
