In our deer camp the youngest hunter stokes the woodstove at night, if he doesnt uphold his duty, his boots are filled with water and put outside to freeze.
Charlie elk, about a decade ago for 3 or 4 years I was one of the "youngfellas" at camp, and I am glad to have moved up a few notches. The chores were piled on the youngfella's, but all the older seasoned hunters always made sure first bucks taken would be by a youngfella. They would always give up the best stands and pass down a lot of experience.
Every season at least 1 prank was pulled, but everything was good natured and taught important lessons. You only needed to spend 1 morning in cold boots to realize that your responsibility keeping the group warm at night was pretty important.
bigjake, good deer camps are eternal the faces change maybe even the hunting area becomes new. But the spirit lives on. Sounds like your camp has the spirit and hard rollicking fun.
Hunt on brother.

Clean up your mess, or don't plan on coming back next year.
Treat the land and game as it deserves to be treated; with respect.
I you use supplies, bring supplies.

Be safe, be considerate and those who don't cook, clean up. Those who don't pitch in don't get invited in the first place.
