One or two Squirrels cut up (at a minimum quartered)
1 cup soy sauce
1 cup white wine or white vinegar or balsamic vinegar
quarter cup sugar (I like brown)
3 tbsp lemon juice or one lemon sliced thin
2 clove garlic smashed or diced
1 sweet onion slice thin
Combine all ingredients in a zip lock freezer bag close & shake a bit to dissolve sugar. Add squirrel; Marinate at least 6 hours I prefer over night in refrigerator.
Remove squirrel from marinade pat dry.
Spray with cooking oil or baste with melted butter.
Grill over moderate heart about 5-6 minutes per side basting with butter.
