. Uploaded on December 18, 2008

Where do you think the next world record whitetail will come from?
How many "walking world records" do you think are out there and in which states?

I'm betting that it'll be Kansas or Iowa.....Illinois and Missouri are right up there, but nothing can beat the breadbasket states---not even Canada.

It could be anywhere really. With the amount of effort that some people are putting in to grow a monster. I've noticed that with the increase in deer management even here in Montana, that a lot of people are shooting way bigger than average deer. Throw in the people working food plots and supplements, and how could you even guess. One thing is for sure, expect a dozen or more false alarms from pen raised deer before you see the real thing. I hope it is some young hunter that just truly lucked out instead of some rich bum buying his way into the animal the way the guy did that bagged the new world record elk. That was really sad. It's amazing what you can get for a quarter of a million dollars.

I think Illinois personally....just think about how many HUGE bucks that have already came from there. I'm pretty sure there will be even bigger and more to come from that state. I live in southeastern Oklahoma and I know for a fact there is huge bucks here but just not any world records.

With todays management efforts around the midwest it's an open book. Here are my list of states that have the best shot.
Illinois
Kentucky
Indiana
Wisconsin
Kansas
Ohio

Will im from wisconsin and buffalo and trempealeau counties are showing they have many monsters, but i think the next world record could come from anywhere in the midwest to the plain states.

Wow....it's a great question....I'm hoping it would be in Virginia or West Virginia and he's standing broadside at 20 yards. Ok I'm dreaming. I don't have any experience hunting deer out west but everything I see on Tv coming out of Iowa seems to be getting bigger and bigger.

I don't believe there will ever be a new world record.
Sure, there is potential for many new records to be walking around right now, but in my personal opinion, no one will harvest one big enough to claim the record.

Come on guys, lets face it Canada just plain grows them bucks naturally. Without any suppliments or crap people put in mother earth to try and grow big antlers, why do people always try play God. But ya, anyways it will be Canada, you's should come for a drive up here just to see what we have running around. I, myself, am a holder of a sweet 170 class Saskatchewan whitetail. Got him naturally in the bush without any food plots or fences, but thats just the way i love too hunt, naturally. lol

Iowa, Illinois, or saskatchewan most likely Iowa. Definitely not Michigan where I'm from, not even management, no DNR help, and too many dumb city slickers shooting the first year and a half old buck they see. Probably not from the south, racks are too thin, smaller deer in general, Midwest or Canada most likely Iowa. Maybe
