Q:Not a question but an FYI. For any PA hunters that read the Washington Post article on the Fed Judge throwing out the suit to lift the Sunday hunting ban, there's a critical error in the article that could get you in a lot of trouble. The article lists current exceptions to the ban such as coyote, but also lists "hunting on a non-commercial private property." Having never seen that in the guidelines or the State Code, I reached out to the PGC. Who helpfully pointed out that it is correct according to the state code for non-commercial game facilities holding so permitted, and attached the portion of code. Big oversight in the print of the article.
Q:I have my 50th coming up. I’m not real wild about the idea, but apparently birthdays come whether we want them to or not. To celebrate this “Milestone”, my wife told me she would like send me and our boys on a hunting trip next fall. I would like to say that money is no object, but I can’t. Any ideas on a unique hunting trip that would take us out of Iowa and not cost an arm and a leg? Thanks for your thoughts!
Q:Which scorebook do you score your animals by? I can appreciate Pope and Young and Boone and Crockett, however I cannot locate where SCI has deductions for trophy imperfections. Do we give the animal credit for every inch or divide the class in to groups based on symmetrics and imperfections?
