Q:I have my 50th coming up. I’m not real wild about the idea, but apparently birthdays come whether we want them to or not. To celebrate this “Milestone”, my wife told me she would like send me and our boys on a hunting trip next fall. I would like to say that money is no object, but I can’t. Any ideas on a unique hunting trip that would take us out of Iowa and not cost an arm and a leg? Thanks for your thoughts!
Q:Which scorebook do you score your animals by? I can appreciate Pope and Young and Boone and Crockett, however I cannot locate where SCI has deductions for trophy imperfections. Do we give the animal credit for every inch or divide the class in to groups based on symmetrics and imperfections?
Q:I am really intreseted in hunting outside my home state and have been doing some research but the nonresident prices for a tag and licsense are pretty ridiculous compared to the resident price. Montana antelope $19 vs $205 or black bear $19 vs $350. Colorado boasts a $49 resident either sex elk tag and $554 for nonresidents. Those are just tag prices. It doesnt include a licsense. Do states make that much off nonresident hunters or are they just trying to discourage nonresident hunters?
