I named my boat Cornucopia. The story behind the name is interesting. I am a writer. My first novel (The Cannons of Costa Rica) is an historical story of shipping rivalry in the 1800's. One of the principle ships of the story is, you guessed it, The Cornucopia. Home port - New Haven, Conn. So, when I bought my first boat (41 Coronado), I couldn't resist the temptation.
Hmm... I agree, I'm sure us users can come up with some better ones too. But I think that best boating names are personal. We just might not get it until explained.
Like mine - Seltzer Water - its much better when you know my last name is Seltzer!

my bosses old boat name was "on the other line" so when people called and asked to speak to him guess what the answer was ... sorry he's on the other line right now

haha the best Ive ever seen was a 9 foot flat bottom named the s.s. teacup.... i christened my boat the happy hooker
