Fish America: New England
The second week on the road was a whirlwind of rain, high rivers, pike, rainbow trout, brown trout, lake trout, landlocked salmon, pike, largemouths, smallmouths, pickerel and panfish. Check out some photo proof.
After a few hours of sleep at Cumberland Bay State Park, which is a bargain as far as campgrounds go and has a beautiful view of the lake, I was back on the water. This time with Champlain guide Mickey Maynard. Maynard grew up on Champlain and has been fishing it his whole life. He tells me we’re going for a version of the “Champlain slam” - a largemouth, smallmouth, pike and pickerel. My ears perk up at the sound of pike. AdvertisementADVERTISEMENTAdvertisement |

WOW, you certainly sound like you are having a ball & are catching some GREAT fish. On June 26th my sons are going to be fishing in a pickerel fishing contest @ Kayuta Lake and hopefully we'll cathc the BIG ONE. Keep up the good work & keep the fish a commin!!!! What do you suggest we use to catch the BIG ONE on the 26th?
