Outdoor Life Hunting Editor Andrew McKean was on hand in Montana's Milk River region to snap these photographs of the release of 50 Merriam's turkeys.

Thank you for the success in helping out & a FRESH new start with the NWTF, It is refreshing to see new blood and enthusiasm in the NWTF ....
It is always nice to see new brood stock in the wild .I wish they would put some more in central washington it could really use it
As great as the pictures of the turkeys are, what really cranks my tractor, are photos like #10 and 13. These show kids being involved. We all know that getting young people involved early is key to all things. Keep up the great work!!
Are these turkeys captured in the wild and relocated or are they raised?

These turkeys were captured in S.E. Montana.
I enjoyed seeing all those kids helping. I wonder how many of them had seen a wild turkey before that time?
