Love turkeys! www.bestturkeydecoy.com
Thanks for pointing that out. I grew up there and the legal age was 12...no mentoring. It's about time that states started to help kids hunt.
Info on the Mentored Youth Program can be found here on PAGC website
PA has a youth mentoring program that allows kids younger than 12 to hunt prior to taking a hunter safety course. The 6 year old kill, which I assume your comment was refering to, was perfectly legal. Good job Colton.
Kimerazor... whats the point of your post?
From the PA Game Commission Website:
"Pennsylvania’s Game and Wildlife Code requires all first-time hunters and trappers, regardless of age, to attend and successfully complete the training. Participants must be at least 11 years of age to enroll in a course. (You must be 12 years old before you may begin to hunt.)"
Outdoor Life's online "calyncokeboy" shot this great longbeard in Kansas in April. He weighed in at 26 pounds, had a 10 1/2" beard and thick 1" spurs.
