Live Hunt: Bow Birds
The first hunting trip for Live Hunt 2011 was a turkey bowhunt in the Cornhusker State. See all the action as we finally kick off the season.
As my good friend Jay and I rolled through the farm land of Nebraska our excitement level shot through the roof. We counted more than 150 birds through our spotters on the drive in and another 150 on the land we would be hunting. This many birds can be more of a curse than a blessing, but we had a good plan put together and some great equipment. Best of all, we were finally hunting in 2011. This was a last minute trip, but we had high hopes. Any birds we could put on the ground would be a bonus to my 2011 Live Hunt season. Great read!
Great hunting trip for sure! If anyone has hay bales around where you're hunting, I would definitely suggest this hay bale wrap. The birds came within 5 yards and were oblivious to us being right there. It was the perfect set up...we had birds walking right by us on both of our morning and evening hunts!
That is the Vias camouflage pattern from Kuiu.
Great Looking Pictures and it looks like it was one heck of a great hunt. Question, what is the camo pattern that you are wearing?
I gotta say Reaper... You always find a way to get it done! I'm glad you came home with some birds and had a great time as well! We are all looking forward to your 2011 season and the adventures it brings along the way, so keep up the galleries:) Some of are living vicariously through them.
