Albino Elk

Amazing photos. I don't think I could take one down if I had the chance. It's like killing a unicorn.
To see one would be awesome, too see two. Wow.
Absolutely awesome! It would be very tempting to take
one, but considering the rarity of albino elk, I don`t know. I would have to be in that situation.
Sorry guy but the one still in velvet would be on the ground in a heartbeat.
I think a shoulder mount and the rest of the hide tanned and placed across the footboard of my bed.
The real treat would be in my freezer
They deserve to roam free, they are a natural wonder, great trophys, but there are other great trophy's out there, let them breed, more albinos will be seen in future, smart not divulging location it would be inundated with hunters, I am one but I have also learned to appreciate the wonders of nature.
Is the one on the right a piebald elk. The one on the left is amazing with the white rack but the one on the right seems as if it is just white coated. But they are both gorgeous bulls.
Albinism is a genetic deffect so why would you choose to let them go so they can breed. I would shoot them as soon as a broadside shot was presented. I feel the same way about albino whitetails it's just a deer not a mythical creature. I would not want these bulls to have the chance to spread their defective genes.
They won't las5t long if predaters are in the area, so I 'd say put them in the freezer and on the table. MMm good.
dang right i would shoot either of these bulls. an elk is a trophy, but an albino one would be the trophy of a lifetime
OK folks lets look at this from both sides , if no one takes this trophy who's going to see it after it dies a natural death ?If MR. WHITEY passes close to me then many can enjoy his beauty for years to follow,
would not hesitate to take one. It would probably be a once in a lifetime occurance.

some things in nature should be left alone, some hunters may say that "if i dont take this animal then it would die naturally, and who would see that," well, thats how nature works, things live and die either by our hands or natures, what so wrong with nature takeing its course. I belive that this is one animal I would have to let nature take back, there is a fine traditional elk in the picture also to take for dinner.
Are these really albino elk or are they Russian White Elk? I couldn't see their eyes clearly enough in the pics to tell if there is any pigment or not. I believe that true albinos will have pink eyes, where as Russian White Elk have regular brown eyes. There are game farms in Canada that have both types available to hunt. Whichever they are, I wouldn't hesitate to stick an arrow in either of them.

Looks like it would be kinder to kill the albino bulls then to let them live. They're white and easily seen.
that looks like a once in a life time deal pretty neat.
I saw this picture on another site. They are on a game farm in Texas. If I found one like them in the wild, you can bet I'd have a one of a kind shoulder mount. You would really think the outdoor life editors could do a better job of screening these postings, like the recent coyote posting that was recently revealed as a fraud. I mean come on, just a little detective work would really help with your credibility. I know I'm already starting to question every rare thing I see posted on your site. How many 8 year olds with photo shop could pull one over on you guys.
Would I take one? That depends on the situation...but a "rare elk" steak cooked medium rare sounds delicious! Ha! I'm so punny!

I love white meat. of course I'd take one, unless i was with a friend, then we woud take both if it was in season of course.
yes i would because it would make a great shoulder mount and some good dinner for a while and ive seen hen turkeys with huge beards!!!

Yeah, I'd shoot one, but they probably taste like albino chichen.
I say let's eat and have a few beers and talk smack about the stud that got one,cheers.
i would be the happiest guy on earth to harvest either bull. but the bull on the left is unbelievable!!!! call the taxidermist,and get some hickory burnin in my smoker!!!!!!!
