I have seen similar results from coyotes eating the back legs off of baby calves while the calf is still alive. I wish I knew which state these photos were taken in. He mentions speaking with people from Minnesota and Michigan.

Many times you see something like this and you say why doesn't this person do something to stop this. However we must realize that GOD put these animals here on this earth and by design they take care of policing themselves. If the wolves did not take deer, they would starve and the deer herds would over populate and cause them to starve. When GOD does something it is always done right, no matter what our human feeligs are about it.

Life is more often than not very cruel & merciless, not kind & mercifull like we would want.

Not pretty, but that's just part of nature's cycle of life and death....Curious what the anti-hunting folks would say about the photo sequence? Probably start a program to turn wolves into vegans...alot easier to stalk and run down tofu!

It's very possible that the doe was already injured or sick when the wolf found her.If she was sick he probably saved other deer from infection.Nature has her own checks and balances, you just have to leave emotion out of the equation.

hear is exactly why we dont need them repopulating the wolves in the lower 48, we as hunters and conservatists have finally got the elk and numerous other game growing in pop. Wolves as long as a increase in regulations on using dogs to hunt cats these animals are going to ruin it for hunters just so the tree huggers can have there pretty wolves, that is until there in there backyard
