As sportsmen it is our duty to keep America's rivers, streams and marshlands free from contamination and teeming with wildlife. Outdoor Life is challenging readers to take action in their own backyards to seek out and revive our local fisheries.
To enter, send us photos or a video and a written description about a stream in your area that needs help. If your project is chosen, Outdoor Life will help get you started this summer.
Selected projects will receive clean-up materials, expert manuals and more. A few projects will be featured in the December/January 2009 issue of Outdoor Life and online.
Outdoor Life is teaming up with CMA Music Festival 2008 to host the ultimate game-calling contest to highlight the launch Project Save-a-Stream.
Some of the biggest names in country music will be gathering for this special event in Nashville, TN on June 6th. There they will be teamed up with some of the top callers in the United States in a friendly competition that everyone will enjoy. Sponsored by Primos Game Calls, teams of pro callers and music stars will strut their best stuff on stage, executing their best turkey and big-game calls. An exclusive panel of judges including Outdoor Life Hunting Editor, Andrew McKean and Editor-in-Chief Todd Smith will decide who the winning teams will be along with participation from the audience.
This fun-filled event is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face and is a great way to kick off Outdoor Life's "Project Save-A-Stream". Calling for Conservation is great entertainment for the entire family with fun, prizes, celebrities and more. And it's a great way to help the environment. So come on out and help us take the first step in cleaning up America's streams. Competition begins at 2:00 pm at the Chevy Sports Zone.
