    A few weeks ago, Benelli introduced their newest shotgun, the Vinci, following a much-hyped teaser campaign in which all anybody knew about the gun was that it came in a strange shaped case and that a movie trailer-like commercial featuring a running hottie in a tank top and her James Bond-looking associate promised it would hit the market March 31. The promo, first played at SHOT Show in January where most companies opt to actually unveil their new guns instead of the “idea” of a new firearm, actually made some writers mad because they wanted to know what Benelli had in mind.

    Took a few days off last week to hunt some turkeys up at my camp. To say that the week was successful is an understatement. Five guys took eight birds and everyone had multiple opportunities to fill their two tags. 

    Things kind of came to a screeching halt on Thursday morning when we were shot at. Here's the tale...

    same thing happens all the time out duck hunting pellets dont hurt just sounds like rain falling in the water lol but in your case i would of called the police!!!!!!!!!!

  • New Record Hammerhead

    For better or for worse—he's done it again. 

    As many of you may recall, Outdoor Life was on the scene back in 2006 when Florida angler Bucky Dennis shattered the world record for hammerhead sharks at 1,282 pounds. Dennis, who donated the brute to the Shark Center at Mote Marine, endured some criticism for taking the big female hammerhead which was pregnant with 55 pups.

    Dennis' latest catch weighed in at 1,060 pounds. It, too, was caught in Florida's famed Boc Grande Pass. He fought the hammerhead for 2 1/2 hours and is expected to submit the catch to the IGFA as a line-class record.

  • Soooo...A Deer Walks Into a Bar

    Thursday was an unusually pleasant early spring day in Wadena County, Minnesota. In fact, it was so warm that both the front and rear doors of Sebeka Liquors, a downtown package store and bar, were propped wide open.

    The open rear entrance to the drinking establishment proved too tempting for a lone deer that happened to be taking a leisurely stroll through town. Either that, or it was the particular song playing on the Wurlitzer at the time or the unmistakable scent of fermented barley and hops that came wafting out in the breeze. Whatever the case, the curious ungulate decided to investigate the premises.

    Everyone loves looking at big fish, truly oversize, gut-swollen monsters. And when they’re just a little on the unsightly side, well, they take on a much more ominous character.

    i loved to fish for carp havnt done it in awhile thou the fight they put up is a great reason to fish for them!!!

    I suppose I have a love/hate relationship with Wisconsin. Beyond the great people and beautiful countryside, the Badger State undoubtedly has one of the most incredibly genetic deer herds in the country. Every time you step into the woods, you stand a chance at killing a true whopper—in both body and rack size.

    im from wisconsin and i to really really hate the earn a buck season god only knows if many hunters will hunt much longer due to it!!!!!!!!!
