With whitetail deer hunters overwhelmingly the largest single bloc of hunters out there and undoubtedly making up one heck of a group of gun-rights supporters, what we say and do in the coming weeks and months could be crucial. It’s crucial because to anyone paying attention—our current president and his administration, despite pre-election promises not to come after firearms owners, is ramping up to do just that.
If I'm not mistaken, she did grow up in the Bronx, NY. So that would probably give her a skewed perception of the use of guns in this country. When somebody says the word "gun" to her she probably thinks of some handgun that is commonly used on the streets. She probably sees "gun" as a bad thing.
When you say gun to us, we think of a .30-06 or a 12 Gauge, nothing like the guns she would think of. We need to be careful and watch her every move carefully.
Well, I've never had a paid security position but i have been chasing trespassing mailmen off my property since i was a pup, that should be enough experience .
I love pond fishing! I fly fish for bluegill and bream in my pond and we have lots of small to medium bass that are just fun to catch. We love to have kids over, they just have a blast. That's what it's all about.
North America is loaded with great and diverse summer fishing opportunities, and every region in America has a healthy variety of waters ideal for every angler. Here are some good ones to consider visiting this summer.
I have had the privilege to fish the Pine Island Sound a few times a year for the last 8 years or so. It really is a piece of old Florida.
For those of you who don't know... Old Florida is anywhere that the tourist business has not taken over. Many high rollers from up north and Canada like to spend their winters down there on the Florida coast. (Who can blame 'em?) The problem is that these people often clash with the Florida natives who resent the presence of these "rich yankees". Unfortunately the money of the tourist industry has taken over in most places, but not in the Charlotte Harbor/ Pine Island Sound area. The people are still down-home hard workin' folks.
So... all of that to say the Pine Island Sound is great as far as the people go.
Now the fishing is even better! the BEST Tarpon fishing in the world is just north in the Boca Grande Pass. The area is famous for Redfish and Speckled Sea Trout. Also the 1000+ pound hammerhead that was caught recently was caught in the Boca Grande Pass.
I'm sure all of these other places are just as awesome. I hope i will get the opportunity to fish some of these other places.
Amen!
There is so much that we can appreciate just from that one picture. The horseback riding, the hunting, even the rock climbing on the distant chimneys. If you were to be in that picture there would be weeks if not months of outdoor adventure to be enjoyed just in that one spot. Awesome!

We often receive photos and stories that are just too good not to share. Check out this mountain lion's bid for his last supper.
Its quite a shame to lose such nice animals like this. But its a pretty awesome story. I agree with Big O- send it to PETA and see what they think!
