I have one buck that sticks out in my mind I shot many trophies in my time its the one that schooled me in reality & he also the one that got away more then once. I met him at a time of my life when I thought I was ten feet tall & bullet proof. Now that I look back he taught me that the chase was way more memorable than the kill he taught me to respect animals & there drive to survive. He was like the wind was not ment to be stoped he was like my teacher teaching me the feeling of defeat he was my friend because he kept my mind company many of nights wondering what if. If I could change back time I would want things to happen just the same because he helped me become a better hunter and a better person I hope you all get to bump into one just like him. djh
I bet they set these stings up only for a weekend because they catch enuff in that time to keep them busy for a couple months with paper work & court appearances.

I know poaching will never end but we can help guide the poaching population away from there ways. & I really enjoy watching poachers get caught on camera oh yeah & there is a video ment just for humor hope you enjoy as much as I did.
There going to be more deaths as the modren world slowly is surrounding & closing in on the natural world. Why would you run in Alaska by yourself with noway to defend yourself where there are many natural prey hunting animals. I feel bad for the women common sense will keep you alive when I run in the woods I'm allways ready for danger because to a hungry animal I might just look like a elk fleeing for its life & that will triger it natural response kill! If we had a real hunting season for wolves enuff of them would be shot at that they would stay as far away as they can get from "man". I'm sure if the wolves can talk you would here them say your going to judge us all over a few that got themselves in trouble your cars kill more animals then us the sit on side the rode & waste while my kids go hungry your web of expanding construction kills millions & I'm the one who is the demon.djh allways for hunting not elimination
WOW thanks for sharing!! I love elk meat but I would rather eat the younger ones once I ate a old bull his meat was like chewing on a spare tire :-). I thought I cooked pretty good but I'm ok with salt & pepper but I need to learn more because I have 4 growing boys & wild game will be a big part of there diet. Thanks again djh
